This comment is to let you know that I am against allowing telemarketing companies to leave unsolicted voice mails with out the express written consent of the consumer. Depending on the individuals unique situation and the extent that telemarketers could/would leave these types of voice mail, it could have a negative impact the consumer's ability to receive other more important type of phone messages, such as injury/illness to a loved one, by filling up all available recording space on the consumer's answering machine. Even if a telemarkter only left a very brief message, just the shear number of telemarkters that would take advantage of this legistation would have a very negative impact on the consumers ability to utilize their own voice mail by having to shift through the useless message to retrieve thier important messages.
