I recommend that the FTC prohibit unsolicited pre-recorded telephone sales calls and abandoned calls. They are intrusive, annoying, and an invasion of my privacy. The government claims to cherish family values. These calls almost always come while my family is together enjoying dinner or interrupt us while we are talking on the phone to elderly and sick friends and relatives. I have signed up for the Do Not Call program. Having done that, the FTC should ensure I am not bothered by telemarketers.
