My wife and I are American citizens, temporarily living in Japan. Our permanent residence is in Morgan Hill, CA, where we will be returning in the near future. We have always resented the intrusion of telemarketer calls. However, we did not realize how greatly they disrupt our lives until living in another country where telemarketer calls don't exist. How sad that we cannot find this kind of peace and tranquility in our own country, when telemarketers are allowed to invade our homes and disrupt our lives. What I don't understand is why telemarketing hasn't been banned long ago. What on earth does it contribute to our economy or to the quality of life in our country? It is nothing but a huge annoyance.
