Comments:
I encourage the Federal Trade Commission to extend the protections of the TSR. The Do Not Call list has greatly reduced my reception of telemarketing calls. Despite these protections, recently I received prerecorded telemarketer calls on my home phone, my cell phone, and my wifes cell phone within a 5 hour period. We do not give ANYONE both of our cell numbers--even companies we do business with. Telemarketers are becoming emboldened to bend the established rules without fear of prosecution. Do not extend new safe harbors. A telephone is a communication device for my family, friends, and work. I pay for it's use--and companies should not be allowed to use the service I pay for, or my time, to promote their products. Protect the American citizens right to privacy. Protect what I consider to be one of the best uses of government authority in years--the "Do Not Call" list and it's protections.
