I oppose prerecorded sales calls or annoying abandoned calls. I signed onto the Do Not Call in an effort to eliminate annoying calls from salesmen. I do not pay for my phone to be used as a devise to invade my home and my privacy by salesmen or recorded messages intent to sell me something. Futher, I do not appreciate calls from organizations asking for donations. I never know who is on the other end of the line and try not to contribute to unknown callers. To me, this is an intrusion and invasion into my home. If the doorbell rings and I go to answer it, I do no expect the unknown visitor to blantantly walk into my house. This is, however, what happens when sales calls are made--they are invading my house as soon as I lift the receiver. They are using the instrument that I PAY FOR to try to coerce me into buying something. They are abusing my privacy as well, and causing me to interrupt my activities to rush to the phone only to find some salesperson or auto-dialers programmed to play recorded messages. And again, they're using the phone that I PAY FOR to do it. Please give relief to consumers. I am certainly intelligent enough and capable enough to do my own calling on the PHONE THAT I PAY FOR to place an order for what I determine I may want or need. Again, give the consumer relief from these abusive invasions.
