I would like to comment on the proposed rule change regarding prerecorded telemarketing calls. As a consumer, I find that in some instances these calls are worthwhile. For example – I recently receive a call from my mobile phone company letting me know of a lower cost rate plan that gives me more minutes and saves me money I have forgotten to pick up my prescription and have received prerecorded call to remind me of my need to pick up my medication. Or I may not realize that my insurance policy is about to expire and my insurer will give me a pre-recorded call to remind me so that my coverage does not lapse. These are just some of the types of prerecorded calls that I find useful as a consumer. Please reconsider your ruling on these useful prerecorded calls.
