Please do not change the used car buyer's protections. The proposal fails to require the car dealer to check and disclose the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System. This seems particularly onerous as the dealer has far easier access and understanding of this system.
And there is no excuse for not requiring the car dealer to inspect the car before selling or reporting known vehicle defects.
Allowing the car dealer to hid the Manufacturers Warranty makes no sense at all. It is reasonable to expect the dealer to show the warranty - expecting it to be a selling point. However, it should not be allowed to be hidden.
