The revised FTC Used Car Rule as currently proposed does not adequately protect consumers, and in several important ways is worse that the current Used Car Rule. I have been in private practice for more than 30 years and represent many consumers with used car problems. The proposed amendment to the existing Rule is no help to consumers. Consumers would be better off with no Rule than the proposed revision.
