Portland, Maine needs a Trader Joe's store to provide an affordable alternative to other grocery stores available in the greater Portland area. Trader Joe stores operate, due to the lack of middle vendors, at a more accessible price range which would serve income ranges of Mainers reasonably. I watched competition drive out grocers in the Marginal Way area, consumed in sequence by a higher-end store. Portland's citizens are without affordable choices for food when compared to other cities as the largest in their state. Gay Marks
