I am writing in favor of the FTC approving the sale of the former Wild Oats/Whole Foods location on Marginal Way in Portland Maine to be sold to Trader Joe's East. The presence of a store such as Trader Joe's would increase competition in the Portland area and greatly benefit the consumer. Moreover, the location is one accessible by public transportation and pedestrian and bike traffic and would allow consumers greater access to reasonably priced grocery items.
