Having been in the military, I have lived in various parts of the country. I have been a shopper of both Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. I do not think that having a Trader Joe's around the corner from the Whole Foods in Portland would be a bad thing. I love both stores for their own uniqueness. I currently travel 2 hours to go to the Trader Joe's in Massachussetts. Having a Trader Joe's in Maine would be wonderful and I welcome it. However, I find it ironic that this is even an issue since Whole Foods was able to go in around the block from Wild Oats several years ago. I am glad that Maine is finally attracting some of my favorite businesses. Now if we can only get a Costco.
