I understand that you would like people's feedback in regard to bringing Trader Joe's to Portland, Maine, to the former Wild Oats store/property. My husband and I are absolutely 100% in favor of this happening! We are from southern California, where Trader Joe's was a staple of life. We have been in Maine for 17 years and have been in Trader Joe's "withdrawal" ever since. Every time we visit family in California, we go to a Trader Joe's and load up our suitcases with goodies to bring home. It is a wonderful store and the time for it to come to Maine is WAY overdue. It is a different type of store from Whole Foods and would not be a source of direct competition, as Wild Oats was, if that is the FTC's concern. Please allow Trader Joe's to come to Portland -- we have been waiting SO long, TOO long! Sincerely, Eileen Long, Mark Long ME
