Yes, you can change your request for ET (by asking for it or withdrawing it). An email is fine, please send the email to the PNO person who reviewed the filing and copy the addresses above (premerger@ftc.gov and premerger@usdoj.gov).

Subject: Early Termination Request
Hi there,
I am wondering what the proper procedure is to request Early Termination after an initial filing has been filed? Is that possible, and does an email suffice or should I send a letter to both agencies?
Thanks,
