Re: (redacted)
Dear Ms. Pay [Peay]:
I tried to reach you by telephone this afternoon, but was unable to make the connection.
I wanted to thank you for telephoning my office this morning and leaving word that early termination was granted with respect to the captioned matter as of May 22, 1986.
Ironically, in the same time frame, the parties have reached an impasse in their negotiations, and the negotiations have now been called off.
I am told that it is 99% certain that the parties will not be reviving their discussions.
Accordingly, my question to you is whether we may or should still withdraw the respective notification forms, or alternatively, whether there would be any other basis on which the Federal Trade Commission would not be required to publish notice of the granting of early termination in the Federal Register.
*Mandated 803.11; Sect. 7A(e)
I would appreciate any advice you might be able to give us on such matter.
Again, thank you very much for the agencies prompt attention to this matter, and for your telephone notification.
Very truly yours,
(redacted)(redacted)
