The public forum reviewed the "do-not-call" provision of the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR). The "do-not-call" provision prohibits sellers or telemarketers from calling persons who have previously stated that they do not wish to be called. This forum was the first in a series of public forums the FTC held during a year-long review of the TSR and the telemarketing industry that also solicited written comments and academic studies.

Under the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) or other laws, we may be required to disclose to outside organizations the information you provide when you pre-register for events that require registration.
