The Federal Trade Commission and the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Illinois will host a press conference on Monday, November 26, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. CST at FTC Regional Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, to announce the filing of a joint complaint against a Schaumburg, Illinois company for allegedly operating a massive telemarketing and credit card fraud scheme. The defendants' actions, which are believed to have cost consumers nationwide millions of dollars, allegedly continued after the Federal Bureau of Investigation served the company with a search warrant earlier this year. Representatives of both the FTC and the Illinois Attorney General's Office will be available at the press conference to answer questions regarding this law enforcement action.
