Howard Beales, Director of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection, will hold a media availability on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. EST to provide reporters with details about two major health care advertising cases. The FTC cases concern allegedly misleading and unsubstantiated advertising for a corrective surgical procedure that millions of U.S. consumers have undergone, and millions more likely have considered.

The informal press availability is open to the public; however, only members of the media may ask questions. Pre-registration is not required, but all media and other members of the public must present valid identification to be admitted to the Headquarters building.
