The Federal Trade Commission will host a public forum to explore issues relating to the proliferation of and potential solutions to unsolicited commercial e-mail. The spam forum, beginning Wednesday, April 30, 2003 and continuing through Friday, May 2, 2003, also will look at how the unique qualities of spam both contribute to and hinder fraud and its prosecution.

The forum will be held at the FTC, 601 New Jersey Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC. The event is open to the public, and there is no fee for attendance. Pre-registration is not required. (Please keep in mind that space is extremely limited. Only 350 seats will be available at the forum. Overflow rooms with video and audio broadcast will be available at the FTC’s Headquarters building, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.)
