Since the enactment of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) in 1970, consumer credit has expanded exponentially and today accounts for two-thirds of U.S. gross domestic product. The Federal Trade Commission will host a media briefing breakfast on Tuesday, September 9, to explore perspectives on the credit reporting system and explain the FTC's recommendations for amending the FCRA.
