Federal Trade Commission Chairman Timothy J. Muris has named Nancy Ness Judy the new Director of the agency’s Office of Public Affairs. In her new position, Ms. Judy will manage OPA’s day-to-day operations and will serve as the FTC’s main staff liaison between the Commission and members of the print and electronic media.

Ms. Judy formerly was Public Relations Director of Myvesta, a financial services organization. Prior to that, she served as a Group Manager with ProMarc Agency and Consumer Affairs Manager and Public Relations Manager for the American Bankers Association.

Ms. Judy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She replaces Cathy MacFarlane, who has been nominated as Assistant Secretary (Public Affairs) at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
