Extension of public comment period: The Commission has extended the deadline for public comments regarding its upcoming two-day Peer-to-Peer File-Sharing Workshop, which will be held in Washington, DC, on December 15 and 16, 2004, to explore consumer protection and competition issues associated with the distribution and use of peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing. As announced in a Federal Register notice that will be published shortly, and can be found as a link to this press release on the Commission's Web site, the end of the public comment period is now January 18, 2005.
