PHOENIX -- Paul K. Charlton, U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona; Tom Syta, Assistant Director, Western Region of the Federal Trade Commission; and Janice Somerset, Deputy Chief Inspector, Field Operations South of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service are hosting a one day forum for law enforcement and Hispanic community leaders to promote education and awareness of the problem of consumer fraud within the Hispanic community in Arizona.

The Federal Trade Commission will announce six new law enforcement actions that are part of the FTC’s ongoing Hispanic initiative. A consumer guest who has personal experience with one of the scams will be available for interviews.

Media are invited for opening remarks and Q&A to learn about this initiative. One-on-one interviews in English and Spanish will be available in a separate location after the opening remarks and group Q&A.
