Publication of Federal Register notice: The Commission has approved the publication of a Federal Register notice announcing that in 2006 it will conduct a regulatory review of the Guides for the Nursery Industry, 16 CFR part 18, the Recycled Oil Rule, 16 CFR part 311, and the Used Car Rule, 16 CFR part 455. The notice, which can be found on the FTC’s Web site and as a link to this press release, also contains a revised regulatory review calendar for the next 10 years.

Commission approval of final consent order: The Commission has approved the issuance of a final consent order in the matter concerning Johnson & Johnson’s acquisition of Guidant Corporation, along with the transmittal of a letter to the commenter of record. The Commission vote approving the final order and letter was 2-0, with Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras and Commissioner Pamela Jones Harbour recused.
