Federal Trade Commission Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras and U.S. Energy Secretary Samuel W. Bodman will provide opening and keynote remarks to begin the FTC’s three-day public conference on “Energy Markets in the 21st Century: Competition Policy in Perspective.” The Chairman will address the conference on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 8:35 am, and will be followed directly by Secretary Bodman. The conference is free and open to the public, and is being held at the FTC’s satellite building in Washington, DC. It will bring together leading experts from government, industry, consumer groups, and academia to exchange information and ideas about issues related to the development, transportation, marketing, and use of energy.
