FTC returns unpaid tips to Amazon Flex Drivers
The FTC is sending Zelle payments to Amazon Flex drivers who had their tips withheld by Amazon between 2016 and 2019 and are owed a payment from the 2021 settlement between the FTC and Amazon.
The FTC first sent payments in November 2021, which resulted in over $58.3 million in returned tips. Now, the FTC is resending 3,244 Zelle payments to people who didn’t cash their check.
If you get a Zelle payment, the payment will be deposited directly into your bank account with a note about the settlement. The FTC will never ask you to send us money to get a settlement payment.
