The Federal Trade Commission today announced the following actions.

Consent agreements given final approval: Following a public comment period on each, the Commission has made final consent agreements with the following entities. The Commission action makes the consent orders binding on the respondents.

  • The consent order with Uno Restaurant Corporation, Pizzeria Uno Corporation, and Uno Restaurants, Inc., all of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, settles charges that they falsely claimed that their "Thinzettas" line of thin crust pizzas was low fat. The consent order bars the respondents from misrepresenting the existence or amount of fat or any other nutrient or substance in any pizza or other "baked crust" food products. (See Jan. 22, 1997 news release for more details regarding this case; Docket No. C-3730; Com mission vote on April 4 to issue the order as final and binding was 5-0.) Staff contact is Phoebe Morse or John T. Dugan, Boston Regional Office, 617-424-5960.
