The Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection will hold the first of two one-day sessions on "Technologies for Protecting Personal Information" on Wednesday, May 14, 2003. The workshops are intended to explore the role of technology in helping consumers and businesses to protect consumer information. The May 14 workshop will focus on the technological tools consumers can use to manage their information and and explore how they are currently using them.
