With the holiday season fast-approaching, consumers may be flooded with shopping offers that turn out to be scams. The Federal Trade Commission provides tips to protect consumers during the holiday shopping frenzy, available at www.ftc.gov/holiday. If you want to help consumers be savvy shoppers, FTC regional representatives are available for live interviews in the following cities to discuss shopping scams and potential consumer woes: Cleveland, OH; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; San Francisco, CA; and Los Angeles, CA. FTC representatives will also be available for phone interviews in cities outside of the designated cities.
