Commission authorization of filing of amended complaint: The Commission has authorized the staff to file an amended complaint in the matter currently pending against Femina, Inc., et al. The complaint in this matter, filed on November 8, 2004, as part of the FTC’s Big Fat Lie weight-loss sweep, alleged the defendants deceptively marketed three weight-loss products called “1-2-3 Reduce Fat,” “Siluette [sic] Patch,” and “Fat Seltzer Reduce.” In filing the amended complaint, the Commission has added Ines Arroyo as a defendant in this matter.
