The Federal Trade Commission will provide a press availability on Tuesday, April 1st, the effective date for a new federal law, which provides consumers with better protection from fraudulent credit repair organizations.

The press availability will be held in Room 432, at the FTC headquarters located at 6th & Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. from 10:00AM to 12:00PM.
Officials in attendance will be:
C. Steven Baker, Director of the FTC’s Chicago Regional Office
Catherine Williams, President of the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Chicago
