As previously announced, technology researchers will join industry representatives to take part in the June 4 Federal Trade Commission forum “Mobile Security: Potential Threats and Solutions.” The forum will address mobile malware, how it spreads, its impact on U.S. consumers, the role of mobile platforms and others in the mobile ecosystem – from chipmakers to app developers – in securing mobile devices and data, and ways that consumers can protect themselves from mobile threats.
The forum will be free and open to the public. It will be held at the FTC Conference Center at 601 New Jersey Avenue, N.W. in Washington, D.C. A live webcast of the forum will also be available on the forum’s website.
