The ICN Annual Conference will take place from 14-17 September 2020. Originally planned as an in-person conference in Los Angeles in May, this will be the ICN’s first virtual annual conference.

Our joint virtual hosts, the US DoJ and US FTC, together with the ICN Working Group Co-chairs, have organized a compact conference week, as well as a series of additional sessions that will take place later this fall.

Chairman Joseph J. Simons and Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim will open the conference and participate in a showcase program on competition and the digital economy. ICN Working Groups – Advocacy, Agency Effectiveness, Cartels, Mergers, and Unilateral Conduct – will then present recent ICN work product and discuss key competition issues, including as they arise in the digital economy. To pose questions to the panelists during the conference, email ICN2020@ftc.gov and ICN2020@usdoj.gov.

The ICN includes 140 competition agencies from 129 jurisdictions. It provides a forum for competition agencies to address enforcement and policy issues of common interest and to discuss ways that member agencies can more closely align their policies and procedures.

Registration is not required. The conference is open to all ICN member agencies, including agency heads and other officials. The conference is also open to Non-Governmental Advisors (NGAs) – competition experts from international organizations, the legal, business, academic, and consumer communities – and interested members of the general public.
