Event Description

As part of the Stop Senior Scams Act, the FTC brought together an advisory group of government partners, consumer advocates, and industry representatives to focus on ways to better identify and stop scams from impacting older adults. The Scams Against Older Adults Advisory Group held its first meeting on September 29, 2022 where it announced the formation of several committees to launch its work. Now, in its second meeting, the Advisory Group will hear updates from leadership of the four committees on the work they have completed and the work to come.
