The Federal Trade Commission today announced the following actions:
- The FTC has received an application for the approval of a transaction from the following: Exxon Mobil Corporation. Exxon Mobil has applied for approval to divest the Exxon jet turbine oil business to BP Exploration & Oil, Inc., a subsidiary of BP Amoco p.l.c. The divestiture of the Exxon jet turbine oil business is required by Paragraphs XII.A. and XII.B. of the proposed order in Docket No. C-3907. Paragraph XII.A. of the proposed order requires that the divestiture be made only to an acquirer that receives the prior approval of the Commission and only in a manner that receives the prior approval of the Commission.
The Commission is seeking public comment on this application for 30 days, until June 19, 2000.
