The Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division today announced topics, updated times and locations, and participants for sessions in their joint hearings on "Competition and Intellectual Property Law and Policy in the Knowledge-Based Economy" on April 9 through April 11. The hearings primarily will examine the implications of competition and patent law and policy for innovation and other aspects of consumer welfare. The general public and press are invited to attend. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with an overflow room provided. Written comments from interested parties may be submitted to the FTC.
