The FTC has built strong relationships with our counterparts abroad, and helps countries around the world to develop and enhance their consumer protection and privacy programs. The FTC participates in several organizations and groups to assist in policy work on ecommerce and emerging technologies – two areas with a sizeable impact on U.S. consumers.

International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network
The International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN) is a network of more than 75 consumer protection enforcement authorities from across the globe. The FTC will serve as the 2024-2025 ICPEN President.
