The FTC’s Green Lights & Red Flags virtual workshop for business is “on the road again,” so it’s only appropriate that we’re heading to Dallas on June 24, 2021.
Green Lights & Red Flags: FTC Rules of the Road for Business brings together national and state legal experts to provide perspectives for business executives, marketing professionals, and attorneys on how established consumer protection principles apply in today’s marketplace. Acting FTC Chairwoman Rebecca Kelly Slaughter will open the virtual workshop at 1:00 PM Central Time. As the agenda indicates, panelists will offer insights into truth-in-advertising law, social media marketing, consumer reviews, children’s online privacy, email marketing, data security, and tips on preventing scams that target businesses.
Green Lights & Red Flags is free and open to the public. The event is co-sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Dallas, the Better Business Bureau Serving North Central Texas, the Dallas Bar Association Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section, and Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
The workshop features an optional segment on legal ethics. An application for a total of 4.00 hours of Continuing Legal Education credit for Texas attorneys – including 1.00 hour of ethics and professionalism – is pending. We’ll update the event page as soon as we get word about the CLE application.
Space is limited on the virtual platform, so register early to reserve your place.
